What a busy day! We did play the math game “Clear the Deck” today. This is one of the games I talked about at conferences. This is a great way to practice math facts! We also worked on organizing and cleaning our desks! We do have progress reports that were sent home and students did have time to look for the assignments that were missing! Today was banking day! We were able to shop at our classroom store. We now have “Alfie Bill” we have to pay in case we forget to turn in all of our assignments or have “Fair” or less on our behavior portion of the progress report. Students with all their work turned in received five bonus Alfies and a STAR Ticket. Students with excellent behavior also received five bonus Alfies and a STAR Ticket. We were awesome this week and earned four bonus Alfies as a class!
Miss Alford had a former student visit and help out in the classroom today! his name is Mark and he goes to the GREATEST university there is…the University of Michigan. He played a game called “Long O Uno” with us. We read another chapter from the book: The Courage of Sarah Noble. We are on chapter six.
